Lily Allen has US Visa Revoked
Reports on this story have ranged all over the place, from Lily Allen having her Visa revoked because of a scuffle that she got into in a night club in London to her being strip searched at the Los Angeles International Airport.
Allen, in Los Angeles to film a new video, was detained at the airport for five hours and searched (a normal search, not a body cavity one). She was informed by officials that her Visa has been revoked but they will allow her to stay in the United States to complete her video shoot.
Her record label hopes to get the situation under control in time for her to return to the United States in September for her fall tour.
“The authorities decided to revoke her American O-1 work visa. She has no idea why she was singled out for such treatment,” Chalmers said. “We are sure we have enough time to sort the situation before her next visit in September.”
While there is plenty of speculation to why she has lost her Visa, nothing has been confirmed as of yet. I am sure she will blog about it on her MySpace page, so we can suffer to more of her endless bitching, errrr… I mean artistic insight.
