Yoko Ono is suing to disallow Lennon name from being used by band

Yoko Ono is taking legal action against a band for calling themselves “Lennon”. She has claimed in court documents that Lennon Murphy, the band’s singer, has fraudulently registered the name as a trademark.
Yoko also alleges that Lennon Murphy is responsible for the “tarnishment” of John Lennon’s name and also claims that Murphy is intentionally exploiting the name and confusing people by using it.
Ms. Murphy claims that Yoko and her legal team did not object in 2000 when the group wanted to use the name for its debut release.
Murphy said: “If Yoko prevails, Lennon might never be able to tour or release records using the name Lennon.”
We’ll just call her Yoko No-No.
