A Judge dismisses Hunter Tylo’s wrongful death lawsuit
A Las Vegas judge has dismissed a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Hunter Tylo against a therapist who counseled her late son. The actress was devastated when her son, Michael Tylo, Jr. drowned in a swimming pool accident following a seizure at her family home in Henderson, Nevada on October 18th. In January, Tylo filed a malpractice suit against social worker Shanna Downing claiming that she misdiagnosed his disorder as stress related and “implanted false memories”.
Tylo then changed it to a wrongful death claim, but failed to respond to a February 11th deadline to a motion set by Downing, with the judge throwing out the case. The malpractice case against Downing still remains and is set to start this fall.
