Pete Doherty has been sentenced to 14 weeks in jail for his drug use and failure to attend probation hearings in a timely manner.
Sources say that the singer was handed his prison term today after appearing at West London’s Magistrates Court.
A spokesperson for the court says Pete had been sentenced for “breach of time keeping, non-compliance of his order and using different drugs.”
Petey is looking to appeal the ruling so that he can go ahead with his tour schedule. His bosses at the label have made time for his stint in jail by postponing his gigs.
