Valentine’s Day isn’t the most pressing thing on the Spears family’s minds today as they head back to court to see if Britney will be able to resume some control over her life.

Britney Spears is going to have a law in L.A. named after her, because it was her $24,000 police escort to the UCLA Medical Center last month which prompted councilmen to propose the amendment. The star was taken from her home to the hospital on January 31st in an ambulance followed by a motorcade from the LAPD.
The job of the motorcade, which included more than 20 cops, a helicopter and a team of intervention specialists, was to block off traffic ahead and behind the ambulance carrying Britney and to keep the paparazzi at bay.

Britney Spears’ stay in the UCLA Medical Center has been extended for an extra 14 days. Today, her family goes up against her attorneys at Trope & Trope to fight the Friday ruling that named her father, Jamie Spears as conservator of her estate.
It was said that Lynne could’ve been named as conservator over Britney’s estate, but she has a hard time saying no to Britney.

Britney Spears was hospitalized again last night for another 72 hour “5150″ hold, at UCLA Medical Center. Lynne Spears had this intervention thought out ahead of time. Upon Britney’s last hospitalization, she put her manager, Sam Lutfi, in charge of her medical affairs. Only God knows why she did that, maybe she felt like she could trust him?

Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan has filed a motion to have Britney Spears pay the total of $500,000 in his attorney’s fees. He was already awarded $120,000 in legal fees, and is asking the court to have the singer pay a whopping $300,000+ extra for fees up until January.
He also asked that he be compensated for an additional $100,000 that he expects to accumulate between now and the time the court case is concluded.
Maybe K-Fed needs to get a job already?

Dr. Phil is in trouble!
A psychologist has lodged a complaint against Dr. Phil, insisting that the TV show doctor’s appearance to see Britney Spears at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center was the good doctor “practicing psychology”. As it turns out, Dr. Phil was never licensed to practice in California and his Texas license has been no good since 2006.

OK! Magazine is reporting that Britney Spears plans on having Adnan Ghalib’s baby. Rumors have also flown around that she plans to convert to Islam so she can marry the paparazzi snapper.
A family member of Kevin Federline’s says that “Britney hates when things are taken from her,” the court’s taken Preston and Jayden away, so she’ll just have another kid to take their place. That’s the way she thinks.”

In a non-surprising turn of events, Britney Spears actually shown up for court yesterday. Only to get out of the van, tell the paparazzi that she was scared, and leave. Britney, Sam Lutfi, and her newest leech of a boyfriend/manager, Adnan Ghalib, went to church. Maybe she prayed that she’d get her kids back?
After that, the trio went to the Gaucho Grill on Ventura to grab a bite. Cuz you know, church and lunch are more important than your children.

Britney Spears’ lawyers are urging her to show up for court today, saying that it might be curtains for the popwreck in the short-term, in regard to her custody battle with K-Fed. If she doesn’t show up for court today, she may lose custody of her boys until around April.
To make matters worse, the Sheriff’s Department has also given up on helping her to and from her car. They have had enough of Britney and will not be around for the paparazzi confusion that’s likely to result from her appearance in court.
